**Main purpose of the job**
- To carry out HR administrative duties across a range of activities including data management, reporting, compliance and general HR administration
- To undertake recruitment and onboarding administration ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures, but more specifically regarding safer recruitment.

**Duties and responsibilities**

**Recruitment**
- Administer and provide HR support to all aspects of recruitment and making sure that it is conducted and concluded in a timely manner.
- Placing adverts on appropriate forums.
- Co-ordinate the shortlisting and interview process, including the preparation of interview packs and schedules for interview panels, including checks that at least one panel member is safer recruitment trained.
- Co-ordinate the administration of all new starter inductions.
- Maintain up-to-date recruitment documentation in line with safer recruitment legislation.

**HR Record Keeping**
- Create and maintain accurate HR files that comply with GDPR and data protection legislation.
- Maintain the Single Central Record in accordance with safer recruitment legislation and guidance.
- Assist with the annual preparation of staff information for the school workforce census, including keeping records up to date to ensure that this is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- To ensure that all staff information is accurate and up-to-date, being readily available and this includes compliance records.
- Regular and secure filing of confidential HR and sensitive information.

**Contractual Management**
- Draft offer letters and contracts of employment in line with employment legislation.
- Producing standard letters and documents regarding changes in terms of conditions, periods of paternity/maternity leave or other special leave requests.
- Make sure that all payroll changes are administered before payroll cut off.

**Absence Management**
- To manage the school’s sickness telephone line so that senior managers receive early communication of staff that are not in school in advance of the school starting time.
- Accurately record all staff absences.
- Administer any payroll changes to ensure accuracy of sick pay.

**Employment policies and compliance**
- Assist in the amendment and updating of school-wide employment policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all updated policies are available for all staff to access.

**Training**
- To administer training requests for mandatory training and continued professional development ensuring that all training requests are cost effective and relevant to the

**HR metrics**
- Collate relevant HR data in support of internal reporting.
- Ensure that the HR system information is up to date to enable the production of management information

**Additional Duties**
- To work within the framework of the school ethos, adhering to expectations at all times.
- To maintain high standards of professional behaviour and presentation.
- Any other duties commensurate with the grade, which may be required from time to time.
