Location: Weybridge/Hybrid
Join the dynamic Sony UK/IE PR and Social team where you'll be at the heart of the action, driving the day-to-day running of the lively press office function, engaging audiences across our social channels, managing PR agencies, proactively engaging with key partners and developing and maintaining media and influencer relationships.
Spearheading content led creative PR campaigns, fostering invaluable relationships with media and influencers, and ensuring our brand resonates powerfully with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Take charge of content-driven PR campaigns and social channels, strategically crafted to amplify our brand's presence in the UK/IE market and achieve our business objectives.
- Partner Engagement: Utilise your expertise in consumer insights and media dynamics to tailor PR and social strategies that captivate our audience and align with business goals.
- Agency Management: Lead and collaborate with PR agencies, ensuring seamless execution of campaigns, effective budget management, and impactful outcomes.
- Media relations: Drive media outreach efforts, handle inquiries with finesse, and nurture positive relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Event Management: Bring our brand to life through detailed coordination of events and press trips, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.
- Creative Content: Craft compelling written materials, from press releases to social assets, that showcase our brand's unique story and value proposition.
- Collaborative Initiatives: Work closely with our European counterparts and Sony sister companies to leverage central briefs for maximum consumer impact and bolster brand awareness.
You will bring:
- Passion and Experience: Demonstrate your extensive PR experience, whether from agency or in-house environments, along with a consistent track record of success.
- Network and Connections: Boast outstanding media contacts and influencer relationships that will elevate our brand's visibility and reach.
- Project Management Prowess: Showcase your ability to balance multiple projects with finesse, from conception to evaluation, including event and press trip management.
- Creative Flair: Infuse your campaigns with innovative ideas that captivate audiences and drive engagement.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with tools such as Traacker, Cision, and Khoros will be a plus, enhancing your ability to measure and optimize our efforts.
- Communication Skills: Articulate your ideas with clarity and confidence, both verbally and in writing, to inspire action and foster collaboration.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, ready to address challenges, crisis and breaking news agendas head-on when needed.
- Organisational Excellence: Bring strong organisational and administrative skills to the table, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of projects.

Based at the Weybridge office, you will enjoy a vibrant and friendly working environment. We have an onsite canteen with a wide range of options available, and a barista style coffee shop.
