An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, energetic, and highly motivated HCPC registered locum Biomedical Scientist

Our clients are looking highly qualified Biomedical Scientists for a single and block bookings to start as soon as possible. The position is for 30-37.5 hours per week, with flexible days and working hours.

Job Title: Biomedical Scientist

Specialty: Haematology / Morphology

Grade: Band 7

Pay Rates: £25-£35/hour

Hours: 09:00 - 17:30

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing (very likely to be extended, service dependent)

To be considered for the role you must have the following:

* Valid Right to Work Documentation

* HCPC Registration

* Recent Haematology experience essential

* Morphology competent

Main duties of the job:

* Undertake laboratory investigations as appropriate to their banding and competencies

* Undertake your duties without direct supervision under the guidance of a Senior Biomedical Scientist.

* At other times the you will perform tasks without supervision and will evaluate situations and seek advice from senior members of staff if deemed appropriate.

* Commit to formally maintaining your skills and knowledge by appropriate training and self-education.

* Collaborate with pathologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss test results, interpret findings and formulate diagnostic and treatment plans.

* Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and records, and participate in quality control and proficiency testing programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
