About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Health Services Laboratories in Central London. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a key role in our Department of Clinical Parasitology, delivering a high-quality parasitology service to meet the demands of our growing department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a variety of diagnostic techniques, including microscopy, culture, immunological, and nucleic acid-based procedures.
  • Develop, evaluate, and advise on new parasite diagnostic techniques.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve diagnostic processes and develop new assays.
  • Rotate through our serology, microscopy, and molecular sections to gain expertise and experience.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • Biomedical Science degree or equivalent.
  • Previous laboratory experience in serology or molecular processes.
  • Strong interest in Parasitology and a willingness to expand knowledge.
