About the role:

Are you a dedicated and passionate individual with a flair for supporting young learners? We are seeking an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Cheshunt, London. This part-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on student’s educational journeys, particularly through booster sessions and tailored interventions. Application Requirements:

• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with Key Stage 2 students. A background in supporting SEN students is highly desirable. You should be adept at creating engaging learning activities and possess excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting children’s education and well-being. Your ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues will be key to your success in this role.

• While a relevant qualification such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate is beneficial, it is not essential if you have the right experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering targeted booster sessions designed to support Key Stage 2 students who need extra help in subjects such as English and Mathematics.

• Provide dedicated support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Work closely with the SEN Coordinator to implement personalised learning plans, ensuring that each student receives the attention and resources they need to thrive academically and socially.

• Work alongside the class teacher to support daily classroom activities. This includes preparing learning materials, managing classroom behavior, and providing one-on-one or small group support to enhance student engagement and understanding.

• Track and document students’ progress, offering feedback and insights to teachers and parents. Your observations will be crucial in adjusting teaching methods and interventions to better meet the needs of the students.
