Warehouse Manager / Supervisor – Immediate start
Description/Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
* Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring that all processes, including receiving, storing, and shipping products, are executed efficiently and accurately.
* Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to improve efficiency and safety.
* Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and ensure accurate inventory records.
* Coordinate and optimise the use of warehouse space and equipment.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and company guidelines.
2. Staff Supervision:
* Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
*
Schedule and assign tasks to staff, ensuring that all operations run smoothly.
*
Foster a positive and productive work environment by promoting teamwork.
3. Inventory Control:
* Monitor stock levels and perform regular stock audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
*
Implement and manage inventory control systems to reduce errors and improve order fulfillment accuracy.
4.Despatching and Goods In:
* Hands on role in the accurate receiving of raw material and ensure that products are inspected, labelled and stored correctly.
*
Manage outbound deliveries, ensuring that orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
5.Health and Safety:
*
Ensure that the warehouse complies with all relevant health and safety regulations.
*
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to minimise workplace accidents and injuries.
*
Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency.
6. Process Improvement:
*
Continuously evaluate warehouse processes and identify areas for improvement.
*
Implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
*
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in warehouse management.
7. Reporting and Communication:
*
Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, including key metrics such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and shipping times.
*
Communicate effectively with other departments, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
*
Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise within the warehouse.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
*
Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager / Stores Supervisor.
*
Fork lift operator with a strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
*
Experience in Aerospace or other highly regulated industries where material traceability is key.
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills., responsible, reliable and self motivated.
*
Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
*
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
*
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations. and strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*
Relevant certifications in warehouse management or logistics preferred (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional, Certified in Production and Inventory Management), or qualified by experience.
*
Familiarisation with saws for cutting material and Eagerness to learn and develop.
Clean drivers licence for occasional local customer deliveries in van.

Straight day shift with early finish on a Friday - Working hours are 38 ¾ per week
Mon-Thurs 8:00 – 17:00, Friday 8:00 – 14:30
