SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support

A brilliant primary school in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets is searching for a SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 Support to support teaching in the classroom. This position is a September 2024 start ready for the new academic year

The school is very creative and has been awarded "Outstanding" by Ofsted and is looking for a creative individual to enhance its support of SEN children at the school. As a SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 Support, you will provide 1:1 support to a young person. Ensuring they receive a prestige education with appropriate care and creating an environment pupils can excel.

This SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support role is ideal for a graduate in Psychology/Criminology/Social Sciences because:

- You will gain experience working in an environment where assessing psychological needs is part of the role.

- Further training opportunities

- You will receive training alongside class teachings and additional support training for SEN.

- You will work with specialist staff and equipment

SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support - Job Description

- Teaching Assistant providing 1:1 support

- September 2024 Start - Full academic year

- £105 - £110 per day

- Full-time position - 8:30 am - 3:30 pm - Term time only

- Based in Tower Hamlets

About the SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 Support Role

- Utilising your creativity to excite and inspire pupils

- Providing 1:1 Support for pupils across Key Stages 1&2 with behaviour requirements as well as SEN.

- Tailored, high-quality CPD.

- Making learning accessible and engaging for a range of SEN (ASD, Dyslexia, ADHD)

SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 Support - Person Specification

- 1:1 or 2:1 Degree

- Understand of SEN

- Experience with children (personal or professional)

- Strong communication skills

- Open Minded

- Creative
