About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN-TA specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role has become available due to the need to expand our support team in response to the increasing number of students requiring specialised assistance. The successful candidate will work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting a small class size, and ensuring personalised attention and tailored support. This role stands out due to the school’s intimate and inclusive environment, where every student’s achievements are celebrated, and the supportive staff community works collaboratively to foster a nurturing learning atmosphere.

• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

• A deep understanding of SEN best practices and tailored educational strategies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and social development.

• Assist with classroom management and organisation.

• Support students during extra-curricular activities and school trips.
