We have a number of positions avaiable for Registered Mental Health Nurses with CAMHS experience to join a Barking based team as an initial assessment nurse. This is a ongoing role for at least the next 3 months . Monday to Friday, 9-5.
Responsibilities: To carry out IA and a robust mental health assessment, risk assessment followed by a risk management plan on all young people and children referred to CAMHS. The 4-agency staff would be responsible/focus on clearing ONLY the IA Backlog caseloads and not to be involved with triages The suitable candidate must have substantive CAMHS experience to work in a front door busy service.
Skills Required: The post holder will be a nurse with appropriate professional or regulatory body (NMC). They will have clinical experience working with children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental difficulties, they will have significant experience of delivering clinically robust mental health assessment, risk assessment and management
