About the school:

Join our lovely 3-form entry school in Ealing, where we take pride in providing special ARP (Additionally Resourced Provision) classes for students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.

With over 150 students who benefit from our dedicated and caring staff, we create a community where every child is known by name and receives the individual attention they deserve. Our school is growing, and we are committed to maintaining our close-knit, supportive atmosphere.

About the role:

As an SEN-TA with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder (Non-verbal), you will be an integral part of our team. Your role will involve working closely with students on the autism spectrum, particularly those who are non-verbal. You will have the opportunity to specialise in this area, supported by ample development opportunities and mentorship programs.

While a relevant qualification is preferred, we value experience just as highly and welcome applications from individuals who have practical knowledge in supporting children with autism.

Application Requirements:

• A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.

• Experience working with non-verbal children on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.

• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to non-verbal children on the autism spectrum.

• Work closely with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

• Assist in developing and using communication aids and techniques.

• Monitor and record student progress, adapting support strategies as necessary.

• Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
