Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

3 month contract

Location: Skipton, West Yorkshire

Rate: £30.00p/h (Limited - Outside IR35/ PAYE/ Umbrella)

Shifts: Double Days - 6-2/ 2-10

Heavy Industrial / Packaging / Industrial

I am currently recruiting for a mechanical maintenance engineer on a contract basis for a key client based in the Skipton, West Yorkshire area.

The role of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will involve the following:

Reactive maintenance with PPM in between, on all aspects of machinery
Responsible for fault find and repair
Fixing fast paced packaging machinery
Working on kit such as Filling Machines, Sealing machines, Labelling machines, Wrapping machines, Catroning achines, palletizers, capping machines etc
Working safely is paramount and make recommendations for improvements.
As Maintenance Engineer you will need the following skills and attributes:

Mechanical engineering time served apprenticeship or equivalent
Welding to tight tolerances
Industrial manufacturing environment – reactive / work under pressure
Pro-active, driven, ability to work independently
Attention to detail, suggest improvements
