Working Hours:
Double Days - 6 AM to 2 PM / 2 PM to 10 PM

Industry:
Heavy Industrial / Packaging / Manufacturing

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a contract role with a prominent client in the Skipton area. This position involves:

  • Performing reactive maintenance alongside planned preventative maintenance on various machinery.
  • Diagnosing faults and executing repairs efficiently.
  • Maintaining high-speed packaging equipment.
  • Working with machinery such as filling machines, sealing machines, labeling machines, wrapping machines, cartoning machines, palletizers, and capping machines.
  • Ensuring safety protocols are followed and recommending improvements where necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Completion of a mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in welding to precise specifications.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a mindset for continuous improvement.
