Compensation: £30.00 per hour (Limited - Outside IR35/ PAYE/ Umbrella)

Working Hours: Double Days - 6-2/ 2-10

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a contract role with a prominent client in the Skipton area. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting reactive maintenance alongside planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on diverse machinery.
  • Diagnosing faults and executing repairs effectively.
  • Maintaining high-speed packaging equipment.
  • Working with various machinery such as filling machines, sealing machines, labelling machines, wrapping machines, cartoning machines, palletizers, and capping machines.
  • Ensuring safety protocols are followed and suggesting enhancements for operational efficiency.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Completion of a mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in welding to precise specifications.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the capability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
