My client is recruiting for a Business support Officer based within the local Authority in East London and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

To ensure that duties are carried out in accordance with the Council’s policies and Code of Conduct, incorporating the principles of valuing diversity.
To inform, advise and respond to residents and colleagues as individuals as well as through representation at Committees and other public forums, building a close working relationship with your Area Panel.
To take a proactive role, taking personal ownership and responsibility for the delivery of excellent customer services within your area; working closely with Housing and Asset Management colleagues in particular, to provide a seamless service.
To support and develop the visions and values of the Housing Directorate.
To deal with telephone calls and provide high quality correspondence, letters, presentations and reports in line with service standards, as requested by the line manager.
. To establish and maintain effective stock control systems to ensure supply levels are maintained and new requests can be met immediatelyRequirements

NVQ Level 3 Business and Administration (or ‘equivalent by experience’)
An understanding of housing management, repairs and maintenance, and tenancy law would be beneficial.
Good understanding of effective approaches to customer care and complaints resolution.
Experience of working in a diverse environment including liaising with external and internal stakeholders, but most importantly, residents.
Experience of managing, co-ordinating and planning own workloadContract 

Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend 
PAYE via Umbrella 
Monday to Friday
9am to 5pm As the role is Local Authority based candidates will be asked to complete an onboarding & compliance checks including DBS & Online training modules prior to starting.
