Overview:

Role Overview:

The Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge large cargo and handheld engineering projects within the Cargo Division. Working closely with the Chief Engineer, Product Line Manager, and Cross-Functional Teams, the Systems Engineer will leverage their expertise in systems engineering principles and processes to help ensure the successful execution of projects that meet critical requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and exceptional problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning, control and utilization of key engineering project activities relating to Cargo and Handheld products across the company.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to establish product/project requirements
Design, develop, and implement system architectures that meet product/project objectives
Work with cross-functional product teams to identify then close key decisions early in the design process to mitigate technical/schedule risk
Act as a primary design reviewer during each phase of the development process
Work closely with the System Integration & Test group on to ensure proper V&V testing performed with proper documentation and traceability
Identify and help resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle
Perform System Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessments and develop mitigation strategies
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

3+ years' experience as a systems Engineer in a relevant field of work
BEng/BSc in an Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.

Essential

Demonstrated experience successfully leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team
Strong project and people management skills
Knowledge of a broad range of engineering disciplines
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, collaborative environment
Willingness to travel domestic and international, occasional
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred
3 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
Experience with system integration, testing, and validationDesirable

Experience in using CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, Eplan or SolidWorks.This position includes an education verification as part of our background check
