About the School:

Their ethos is centered around the belief that every student has the potential to succeed and that it is the school’s responsibility to provide the necessary support and resources to help them achieve their goals. The school has a range of facilities to assist students learning and development, including specialist classrooms, therapy rooms, a sensory room, a hydrotherapy pool, and soft play area.
Responsibilities:
As a Learning Support Mentor, you will play an integral role in supporting students on their academic journey. Your responsibilities will include:
Individualised Guidance: Build positive relationships with students, offering one-on-one support to help them overcome learning challenges.
Resource Development: Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create and adapt learning materials, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for students with diverse learning needs.
Inclusive Education: Create an inclusive classroom culture that celebrates diversity, promotes understanding and encourages positive social interactions.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and working with the teaching team to adjust support strategies as needed.
Personal Development: Promote and encourage effective learning habits, organisational skills, and independent learning.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you will need:
* Enhanced DBS Check or be willing to complete one.
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or possess equivalent teaching or education qualifications.
* Demonstrate a compassionate and patient attitude, with a genuine commitment to understanding and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Additional Details:
Hours: This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: Competitive, based on the M1 - M6 teaching scale, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Location: Atherstone, Warwickshire
