Are you an experienced Facilities Technician looking for a new role?

TXM Recruit are working in partnership with an organisation who are recruiting for a Facilities Technician on a permanent basis paying £40,136 per annum + £2380 on call in Cambridge.

The Depot Facilities Technician will be responsible for the provision of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to building services, fixed plant, and equipment. This includes CET, fuel, Adblue, and tanking facilities across multiple depots and sidings. The role involves afternoon and evening shifts, with on-call duties one week in every four.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventative maintenance on building services and fixed plant.
Conduct reactive repairs to ensure the efficient operation of equipment such as CET, fuel, Adblue, and tanking facilities.
Maintain and repair plumbing, drainage, and water distribution systems.
Service and repair heating, lighting, and ventilation equipment.
Work on specialist plant utilizing vacuum and compressed air systems.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC operated systems.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.What We Require?
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Electrical qualification.
Good understanding of PLC operated systems.
Proven experience in maintaining and repairing a wide range of facilities and equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to work afternoon and evening shifts and be on call one week in four.
Full UK driving license.Main Details:
Job Title: Facilities Technician
Salary: £40,136 per annum (rising to £44,496 after 12 months) + £2380 on call
Hours: 35 hours per week – Afternoon/Evenings Shifts – 5 Days a week with on call 1 week in 4
Location: Cambridge Depot CB1 3AE – Covering Colchester/Clacton
Contract: Permanent
