National Account Manager Grocery

£52-£55 + £5K Car Allowance + 20% Bonus + Benefits

Hybrid/Home with 2 x days a week required in the HO West London

Working for a well-known leading food brand I am looking for a National Account Manager to lead on 3 of the main Grocery Accounts.

My client is very open to candidates from FMCG Food and Non Food backgrounds either with previous Grocery experience or those wishing to gain this experience as a next step in their career.

As the National Account Manager (NAM) you will be responsible for executing the Commercial Plan within your client portfolio in order to meet and exceed business KPIs. (INTERNAL: Net Sales, Gross Profit, Gross Margin and EXTERNAL: Market Share, Distribution, Share of Shelf).

You will be commercially savvy, data led - (data analysis, P&L, market info allowing you to make informed decisions), resilient, experience of front-line sales within FMCG.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Management

* Develop and maintain a matrix of contacts across Customers.

* Selling products and innovation plans to Customers.

* Execution of Joint Business Plans with Customers.

* Ensure all admin is delivered to a high standard including Promotional Proposals, Invoicing, JBP Tracking and Forecasting.

Execution

* Working with Category and Activation teams to execute Commercial priorities to Customers, using all appropriate levers to create maximum brand impact and ROI.

* Working with Supply Chain to ensure the right levels of stock availability and forecast accuracy.

Financial Management

* Supporting with developing annual Customer plans to meet and exceed target KPIs.

* Forecasting all volume and trade spend in line with the agreed Marketing Plan and customer activation.

* Delivery of the Customers Volume, Net Sales and Profit delivery within month, quarter and year.

* Actualisation of trade spend in line with Customers invoicing to ensure accurate reflection of the Customer's financial position.

* Monthly review and analysis of Customer performance versus plan, prior year and budget with a solution focused mindset to course correct where required.

* Regular evaluation of trade spend to ensure target levels of ROI are being met.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

* 3 + years Account Management experience

* A good understanding of the FMCG marketplace

* Experience of building relationships at all levels

* A tenacious and entrepreneurial approach, key to building and sustaining new long-term relationships.

* Financial numeracy to be able to build strategically sound, financially robust proposals that exploit opportunities.

* Strong capability in Excel /forecasting systems essential.
