Our client has an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join them on a contract basis. You will be creating better outcomes to manage the end-to-end delivery of complex projects and/or multiple parallel projects.
From initiation feasibility and business case creation, to defining appropriate delivery schedule with resource scheduling ensuring design, development, test execution and implementation into live is delivered successfully to time, cost and quality.
Projects could range from Internal Transformational, Regulatory and Compliance Changes and/or execute changes for our Pensions Clients.
Role: Senior Project Manager - Pensions
Location: Remote
Daily Rate: Up to £650 per day via Umbrella, inside IR35
Contract Length: 12 Months
What you'll be doing:
Core project management responsibilities.
Development, management and accountability for successful execution of a project against scope, delivery plan schedule and budget.
Work with peers and stakeholders, to ensure robust Project Management processes and documentation are developed and maintained to ensure a consistent approach across the portfolio. Incorporate lessons learnt.
Lead the resource assigned to the project, to ensure excellence is achieved from all resources to ensure project success
Take ownership of personal and performance development to improve and retain up to date pensions and internal systems knowledge, processes and procedures and/or capability.
Complete all relevant training courses, including Mandatory e-learning in line with set deadlines.
Drive continuous improvement, regularly review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems, processes and controls, making suggestions to continually enhance service delivery.
Adhere to Quality Management Systems and comply with regulations and policies set by Capita and/or relevant regulatory bodies.
Support and drive a client focused culture in the team and ensure that continuous improvement and excellent customer experience are at the heart of all activity.
Identify and report risks and breaches immediately to line management and/or the Business Controls Department.Actively promote the application of robust change management techniques across the business.
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders and/or clients.
Lead by example and exhibit the level of commitment, and professionalism expected at all times.
Actively represent the team in department and company activities and projects, and engage the team in discussions and plans.
Requirements:
Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management qualification (APM)
Project and Change Management
Understands and follows project management methodology. End to end experience of the project lifecycle - able to describe the key elements of projects including initiation, governance, control and closure and can provide examples of active participation in all of these stages
Has the ability to use a range of Project Management tools and disciplines to ensure deliver to plan and managed within governance is always achieved from conception to implementation - considering Capita Evolve standards and gating metrics throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Proven Project Management experience for a minimum of 5 years in a business financial regulatory environment.
Can demonstrate experience in Agile and Waterfall development methods
Experience of putting projects live, with cut over planning and parallel run activities to minimise the transition risk. Supported by executable Business Readiness plans.
Has the ability to identify and escalate key issues (both technical or business) to the Programme Manager / IT Technical LeadLeadership
Proven leadership for a minimum of 3 years managing a diverse multi[1]disciplined virtual team - focusing on self-development / team development and driving innovation around how we operate and deliver change.Strategic Thinking
The ability to work with senior stakeholders to develop a long-term strategy and shape the future road map for development to achieve successful delivery of the business outcome.
Able to lead due diligence on potential new client deals from a scope perspective, identification, or delivery risk to be factored into commercial negotiations.
Has the ability to develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, investment appraisals, cash flows, net present value, impact and risk analyses and benefits realisation.
The ability to describe the difference between business and technical specifications, including material differences in scope and audience. Evidenced examples of specifications writtenClient / Business Focused
Keeping the client at the heart of everything we do, developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
Being the voice of the Customer when driving decisions, designs and solutions within the business

Achieve quality assurance activities across the Projects to ensure compliance to the governance standards in place
Accurate up to date reporting on all aspects of the Project - Risk Issue Management, Progress on Milestone Delivery, Financial tracking and Resource scheduling
