Our client is a leader in their field and are now looking for a Head of Project Delivery with experience within the social housing sector. Our client has embarked on a Change Programme across its operations, including, but not limited to, upgrading its housing management database and workflows, changing finance systems, data cleansing, asset management reporting of components across sites, revisiting existing portals to upgrade and enhance workflows, whilst decanting tenants from one property to another in quick succession. The Delivery Lead will be responsible for keeping these multiple projects on track, ensuring they are completed on time and according to specifications. As Delivery Lead you will collaborate with Project Managers and Co-ordinators, System Designers and staff to control timelines, budgets and scope.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and support to cross-functional teams on project timings, deliverables, budgets and outcomes
* Identify and mitigate risks using data and tools to identify and support risks/issues throughout the programme cycle.
* Coordination of project managers/co-ordinators to ensure activities and deliverables are achieved and in keeping with milestones.
* Responsible for facilitating, organising and feeding into Senior Management Team (SMT) and Committee meetings.
* Managing IT supplier relationships, overseeing contracts and workstream delivery.
* Chair monthly project reviews with Project Managers’ and report findings to the SMT.
* Manage the monthly projects P&L and ensure all costs are fully accountable and recoverable.
* Oversee budget spending data for projects with support from the finance team, holding workstream directors and managers to account.
* Liaise closely with the finance team to ensure efficient deployment and tracking of project funds.
Skills and Experience
* A minimum of ten years’ proven project management experience and successful project delivery
* Project delivery within the social housing sector is a must and non-negotiable.
* UK recognised project management certifications.
* A track record of accurate reporting and demonstrable evidence of having managed a team.
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
* Competent and confident public-speaker with the ability to communicate and influence a range of audiences which will include SMT, committees and staff.
* High levels of numeracy with the ability to track multiple budgets over time.
* Excellent communicator with a diplomatic approach to management.
* A relevant degree and / or a recognised qualification in project management is a must.
