Job Title: Head of Finance

Join our team as a Head of Finance and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and financial management skills. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our executive team and senior managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide partnering support to the executive team and senior managers to ensure they have accurate and timely management information.
  • Support the provision of relevant, timely and accurate financial information for strategic decision-making.
  • Improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting on our charity's performance.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and present these to the leadership teams.
  • Support ongoing projects with monthly financial data.
  • Manage the rolling five-year cash forecast and assist with the rolling five-year business financial plans.
  • Act as a key driver of cross-functional working relationships.
  • Provide strong leadership to the finance team.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of internal financial controls and Capital/Property accounting.
  • Significant financial management experience, ideally in social housing and/or the voluntary sector.
  • Business acumen and the ability to understand complex financial information.
  • Developed understanding of the dynamics of financial management and its impact on small to medium enterprises.
  • Previous knowledge of working with an ERP/accounting system preferably Pyramid.
  • Qualified accountant - ACCA or ACA or CIMA.
