About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis, offering a salary of £85-£100 per day. This newly created position aims to enhance our support for students with ASD and presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on their educational experiences and personal growth. In this role, you will work with small class size, providing personalized support, collaborating with teachers and other professionals, and contributing to the development of individualised education plans.

Application Requirements:

• Prior experience working with students with ASD is essential. Familiarity with strategies and techniques to support students on the autism spectrum is required.

• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

• Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or Autism Spectrum Disorder, along with a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group support to students with ASD, helping them to engage with the curriculum and achieve their personal goals.

• Work closely with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement effective learning strategies and individualised education plans.

• Regularly assess and report on the progress of students, ensuring that their needs are being met and adapting strategies as necessary.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
