The Company:

A National Pre-cast Concrete Company specialising in the design and construction for all types of buildings and structures are looking to recruit a permanent Document Controller to join their expanding team.

The Candidate:

Working with the technical department you will be assisting the production of workshop drawings for pre-cast elements for HS2, reporting to the Technical Manager. You will bring document controlling experience within infrastructure projects to the role.

Responsible for managing all the documentation generated by the technical department and received from the client/designer, the main responsibilities are as follows;

Job Role Responsibilities:

Document controlling during the revision/comment's rounds for the production of workshop drawings.
Collaborating with members of the team to ensure good quality level of documents and facilitate its management.
Organising the common data environment and all the documents in that space.
Keep good track of key dates for communications and transmittals.
Troubleshoot any faults or problems in the document controlling process and identify areas for improvement or training.
Set and achieve high quality standards in all facets of the production phase.
Coordinating the project information from the office to the workshop production team

Essential/Desirable:

2 years' Experience in document controlling (contractors).
Experience in management of RFIs, comments, revisions in technical packages.
A-levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding/Knowledge of ProjectWise.
Understanding/Knowledge of BC Business Collaborator.
