An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Assistant to join a small but busy People Team on a fixed term basis for 9 months. Supporting the People Manager, you will advise managers on a wide range of employment law matters, people related processes and procedures. Coupled with this, the ideal candidate will have a passion for employee engagement and/or Learning and Development and have a fresh approach to the overall people journey to add value to the Global People Strategy for a temporary period.

Responsibilities of HR Assistant include:

* Advising managers on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment law.

* Support on case management; including, Absence Management, Occupational Health referrals.

* Escalating areas of concern to the People Manager as appropriate.

* Contributing to HR metric reporting and identify trends.

* Supporting the recruitment processes.

* Assisting with HR activities, including reward schemes and internal communications.

* Assisting with the planning and delivery of Manager training.

Candidate Requirements:

* 1- 2-years’ experience at HR Assistant/Administrator level.

* Knowledge of employment legislation preferred.

* Experience of creating, implementing, and organising employee engagement initiatives within a business.

* Excellent interpersonal skills, good communicator, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a wider team.

* Travel to the Birmingham office monthly.
