Chassis Dyno Lead Test Engineer - 39591Rate: £25.96/hr Umbrella – inside IR35Division: Product EngineeringContract Position based at: University of Warwick (fully on site)Position Description:The individual will be technically outfacing and responsible for the day to day operation of the Chassis Dynamometer test facility, dealing with project planning and execution of test programs.You will be required to promote the facility at external events and work with the business team to develop the customer base but also promote the test capability more widely within the industry to third parties.Essential Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceKnowledge of combustion, hybrid and electric vehicle technologyFamiliarity with chassis dynamometer systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition toolsA keen eye for detail and good analytical skills to interpret test results accuratelyPrior experience in Chassis Dynamometer Vehicle Emissions Test role is highly desirableExcellent problem-solving abilities to address any technical issues during testingCapable of evaluating physical test data, drawing conclusions and being able to articulate to technical customer representativesPreferred:Experience in chassis dynamometer emissions tests on combustion, hybrid and electric vehiclesAble to perform pre-test vehicle inspections to ensure they meet test requirementsExperience in analysing emissions test results using specialized software toolsAble to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative testing methodologiesStay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to vehicle emissions testingEducationEducated to Degree level in a Mechanical and or Physics related subjectYour CV will be forwarded to Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy established in 1978.
