Role: Technical Sales Representative - Southern UK Region Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire – office based role in Cambridgeshire with field work across the Southern region Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum basic depending on your experience, car allowance and Company bonus - dependent on company and personal performance Benefits: 23 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays – rising to 25 days after 1 year of service, company enrolled pension scheme, regular performance appraisals and continual formal training and development, annual pay reviews, company events, free onsite parking. Are you technically minded with a knack for sales? We're seeking a Technical Sales Representative to manage and grow a portfolio of clients in the Southern region of the UK. This is an ideal role for someone with a strong engineering background, ready to take on a dynamic sales role in a thriving industry. Who are we? We are Busy Bee Recruitment, an awarding-winning recruitment agency supplying both temporary and permanent staffing solutions throughout the UK to our wonderful client base. Duties will include:

  • Managing and growing existing customer accounts
  • Driving sales activities across the Southern UK region
  • Proactively developing new leads - engaging in cold calling and following up on leads provided by the sales and marketing team
  • Spending around 25% of your time visiting clients within the region
  • Representing the company at UK-based trade shows and conferences as needed
  • Working closely with internal departments to create proposals and manage client opportunities through CRM
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Engineering experience, ideally in mechanical engineering, welding, or similar
  • Previous sales experience or a strong engineering background looking for a transition into sales
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Comfortable with cold calling and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Clean and valid UK driving license
