You will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of Welcomm’s business development efforts. You will be responsible for not only generating high-quality leads and booking appointments, but also leading, coaching, and mentoring the team of Business Development Executives (BDEs) to achieve their targets. You will work closely with the Head of Business Development (HOBD) to align strategies, support broader company objectives, and ensure the team meets or exceeds its goals.
Identify potential customers through cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and networking, researching their individual needs to tailor your approach.
Keep detailed records of all interactions and leads in the CRM system.
Scheduling appointments for the Business Development Manager to sit, collaborate with them to ensure smooth transitions from lead generation to deal closure.
Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to BDEs on lead generation, objection handling, and communication. Review team performance data to identify improvement areas and make necessary adjustments, including coordinating with the HOBD and Head of Learning and Development to organise any training session for the team.
Work with team members on customer quality MQM and CQM reviews, sharing results, giving constructive feedback and actionable insights for improvement for the BDE team
Address performance issues, alongside the HOBD quickly and constructively, implementing improvement plans where needed but also stepping aside when escalation is necessary.
Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with industry best practices and enhance your own skills in business development, leadership, and management.
Maths and English GCSEs
Experience in mentoring, coaching, and managing a team of sales or business development professionals.
Proficiency in using CRM systems, lead generation tools, and sales analytics software.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement effective strategies.
You have previous leadership training.
Skilled at analysing data, identifying trends, and using insights to make informed decisions and improve team performance.
