An exciting opportunity has arisen for an approachable, motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join the Children's Outpatient Clinic at Pilgrim Hospital.

What we're looking for...

We are looking for a Registered Children's Nurse or a nurse with significant paediatric experience and evidenced competencies. Experience of working with children in an acute setting is desirable but not essential as training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.

This is an interesting and challenging post and requires a motivated and innovative nurse who is able to work as part of a team and is dedicated to the on-going support and development of our Children's Outpatient Clinic. The successful applicants will be fully supported through a comprehensive induction plan and on-going support is facilitated through opportunities for further professional development, 1:1 support and annual appraisal.

Main duties of the job

About the Role....

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their knowledgeand skills in caring for Children and Young people and their families attending outpatient clinics.

The Children's Outpatient Clinic is open Monday-Friday 8:30 - 18:00 and caters for both hospital and out of Trust visiting clinics. The following clinics are undertaken at Pilgrim:

General Paediatrics, Cardiology, Diabetes, Allergy, Cystic fibrosis, Community Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Genetics and Urology alongside nurse led clinics which this role will support.

You must have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
