The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who possesses a strong blend of technical and commercial acumen. They should have a deep understanding of marketing technology, data flows, and how to effectively position solutions to meet customer needs. They are exclusively supporting the brand direct sales team in the UK, providing technical expertise in pitches and on-going support post sales. Additionally, they should be able to effectively communicate with both sales and client services teams, acting as a bridge between the two. Their background in ad tech, potentially from companies such as Microsoft, Adobe, or Amazon, would equip them with the expertise needed to navigate the complexities of the industry. This individual should be adept at whiteboarding and be capable of engaging in detailed technical discussions with a wide range of stakeholders. They should also be comfortable working at both the UK and potentially at a regional EMEA level.

What you'll do:

  • Work with the Brand Direct sales and CS team assisting with new business pitches, whiteboarding technical sessions and giving platform demos
  • Identify and closestrategic up-selling opportunitiesby understanding core client business needs
  • Have a POV on macro industry-wide topics
  • Project manage custom builds through their lifecycle, managing stakeholders across commercial and technical teams at TTD, and on the client side
  • Work collectivelywith Business Development, Technical Account Management and Solutions Architects to develop solutions built on TTD platform
  • Develop a deep technical understanding of The Trade Desk platform, competitive positioning, and an informed view of the value chain within programmatic advertising
  • Take responsibility for more complex brand relationships. Apply business insights and industry knowledge to advance the client and TTD’s goals. Persuade and lead senior level meetings
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the product roadmap and platform functionality but also be able to think on a more macro-level and develop messaging which factors in the wider industry and trends

Who you are:

  • A significant number of years of experience in online advertising in outbound sales
  • Experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, SEM platform, DSP, or otheronline advertisingroles
  • Strongcommunicationskills with the ability to speak with senior levels and establish long-standing, consultative clientrelationships
  • Have the ability to explain technically complex concepts in simple terms and devise a clear path forward that is easy to grasp for a varied audience with different levels of technical knowledge
  • Existing relationships with decision-makers at major holding companies is a plus
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations
  • An inspirational leader with strong management and leadership skills through a collaborative team approach. Ambition to develop personally and nurture the development of others
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, executive team and industry groups
  • Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong quantitative skills and negotiations ability
  • Able to travel occasionally for business and internal meetings
  • Combination of creative and technical mindset. Experienced in and capable of creating and selling a vision for a product that does not yet exist.
