  • Hourly Rate: £32.31
  • Monday to Friday: 37.5 Hours per week, flexible start and finish times.
  • Contract Length: 1 Year
The Role: As an Procurement Specialist you will:
  • Support supplier consolidation and help meet cost savings and working capital goals.
  • Minimise total product and process costs through cost reduction efforts and innovative procurement practices.
  • Manage supplier selection and maintain key external supplier relationships.
  • Lead negotiations and manage complex supplier relationships.
  • Identify and implement solutions for dual-sourcing, negotiation, category strategy, and supplier management.
  • Lead process improvement opportunities to enhance service, speed, or cost.
  • Implement and negotiate agreements for complex supply relationships.
The Candidate: The ideal candidate for the Procurement Category Specialist role will have:
  • Over 5 years of procurement experience.
  • Expertise in direct materials, GFR, converting, assembly, or kitting.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder and supplier management.
  • Experience in a manufacturing organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and managing large data sets.
  • Knowledge of SAP navigation.
