VCAD is seeking a Student SupportManager to join our London Team.

Job Description:

The Student Support Manager will lead our StudentSupport team, ensuring they provide comprehensive support and guidanceto a diverse student population. The Student support team plays acritical role in helping students thrive academically, emotionally,and personally.

Reports to: Director of Operations

Duties:

  • Motivate, train, andsupport the administrative staff of the Student Support Office toensure continuous delivery of quality service, fostering a team ethosand culture.
  • Provide effective leadership & management forstudent support team.
  • Act as a source of expertise for VCADon matters related to student support services.
  • Travel todifferent campuses for validation events, induction, and trainingpurposes (travel expenses will be provided).
  • Lead existingpartner operational meetings, representing our Student support team.
  • Oversee all student inquiry procedures and ensure the Studentsupport staff provides high-quality responses.
  • Personallymanage exceptional inquiries as needed.
  • Conduct performanceand development reviews for the Student support Team.
  • Provide comprehensive support and guidance to students,addressing their academic and personal needs.
  • Demonstrateunderstanding and adherence to all procedures and legislationregarding confidentiality and information disclosure, ensuring theStudent support team staff is knowledgeable and compliant.
  • Carry out tasks assigned by directors/senior academics whenrequired.
  • Approve holiday and flexitime requests to ensureoffice coverage and meet demands during peak times.
  • Beflexible with time as many of our campuses will be offeringweekend/evening courses.

Conditions/Requirements:

  • Experience in teammanagement, handling student special needs queries, and supportingVCAD with administrative tasks.
  • A minimum 2 years’experience working as student service manager or in similar role inHigher Education is essential.
  • Knowledge of counsellingtechniques, mental health issues, and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Working in afast-paced pressurised office environment
  • Evidence of working with a diversity of students
  • Experience in risk assessments and crisis management
