The Opportunity:

Rovco are recruiting for a Workshop Supervisor to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.
Based in Westhill, Aberdeen the Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and activities of our new Workshop, at our Westhill Operations facility.
You will will play a crucial role in structuring and tailoring our newly acquired facility to a required standard and working with line management to identify future support requirements in line with strategy and continued growth.
You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, meeting equipment maintenance and readiness for project requirements and targets, and ensuring quality standards are met. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise Workshop Operations; oversee the day-to-day activities in the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow, and meeting production targets.
  • Quality Control; implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all products or outputs meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Safety Compliance; ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, conducting regular safety inspections and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Equipment Maintenance; oversee the maintenance and repair of workshop equipment and machinery, coordinating with relevant departments or external vendors when required.
  • Process Improvement; identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Inventory Management; monitor and manage workshop inventory, including raw materials, spare parts, and tools, to ensure availability and minimize wastage.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels, and generate reports as required.
  • Customer Service; liaise with third party contractors, suppliers or internal stakeholders to understand their requirements, address concerns and be the main POC for all workshop activities.

You should apply if you have:

  • Forklift, Banksman slinging and Gantry Crane desirable
  • Knowledge of equipment logistics
  • Knowledge of procurement principles and stock management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and ability to work on own initiative
  • A full UK driving license
