**Description**:
The job holder will undertake planning and supervision (safety and quality) of security engineering, maintenance and projects.
- Monitor implementation of plans and procedures for the discipline to ensure compliance with maintenance schedules, safety procedures and legislation.
- Identify resource requirements to prepare for/carry out maintenance operations.
- Implement appropriate solutions for maintenance problems.
- Ensure that planned maintenance activities and defect rectification are carried out efficiently and to schedule, specifically for PMS maintenance activities.
- Undertake the professional management and execution of contract and project works including observation of work to identify industry standards are being applied.
- Liaise with engineer in support of the preparation of technical specifications.
- Liaise with stakeholders to provide authoritative advice on matters relating to site maintenance with discipline.
- Review work area/task on completion and report the conveyance of any relevant information to the appropriate authorities.
- Ensure staff effectively utilise diagnostic techniques to identify faults in plants, systems and components.
- Identify and resolve equipment performance and obsolescence issues.
- Support the implementation of the safety, welfare, security and environmental protection arrangements for all maintenance workshops and compounds.
- Assess the effectiveness of maintenance procedures and provide required amendments and changes.
- Ensure fit for purpose job reports are produced in accordance with LC25.
- Liaise with suppliers/manufacturers on technical issues.

- Knowledge and understanding of the site security infrastructure, including network and hardware and able to work cross discipline, with the support of the respective engineering support team, would be an advantage but not necessary as training will be given for the role.

**Skills/Experience**:

- Knowledge and understanding of the Site security infrastructure, including network and hardware
- Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
- Able to work cross-discipline, with the support of the respective engineering support
- Instrument apprenticeship plus HNC in engineering or equivalent qualification plus experience
