DPS Games is a games development studio based in Guildford, part of Wargaming, one of the biggest publishers of FTP games in the world. Our studio leadership are industry veterans, and we believe we’re building a great studio culture in the best studio space in Guildford.

As Office and Events Manager, you will have a dual role, anticipating the day to day needs of the studio and resolving any issues, as well as owning all internal and external events, making our studio a great place to work

Reports to

This role will be based in Guildford, UK and reports to the Head of Operations.

This role requires some degree of flexibility, to be based in our Guildford studio full-time with some occasional out of hours work.

What will you do?

Events:

  • Plan, develop and execute a range of events that align with studio objectives
  • Lead and present your ideas and updates to stakeholders
  • Work with vendors to ensure smooth operation of events - including venue selection, catering, budgets, health and safety and all event logistics
  • Promote events and drive attendance
  • Track the outcomes of events and share post-event feedback
  • Identify opportunities for new events and initiatives

Office Management:

  • Provide a positive experience for our visitors
  • Act as a liaison with other Wargaming offices
  • Effectively manage and control all associated budgets and costs
  • Manage soft services like the Deli, cleaning and maintenance
  • Manage the inventory and ordering of office supplies and equipment
  • Build relationships with local suppliers and the building manager
  • Additional admin tasks, including, mail, courier services, booking transport
  • Work as part of the wider Workplace Management Team, including HR, Finance, IT and Employer Branding

  • Office management experience within the technology industry
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with experience in delivering successful events
  • Experience managing and delivering against budgets
  • A friendly and confident approach to your work, along with your excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment and accountability to delivering a high level of customer service, with the resilience to cope under pressure
  • Flexibility to adapt to change and respond to a variety of work situations
  • An ability to work on your own, as well as part of a team
  • A high level of IT proficiency

  • Experience in a similar role within a game studio
  • Being able to communicate effectively within a multicultural environment
  • Experience of process improvements to enhance delivery
