Quarry Manager

At Tarmac, who you are matters. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quarry Manager to join and lead our friendly operations team at our Tarmac Leapers Wood Quarry, Lancashire. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Quarry Manager will assist in the safe running of a busy quarry.
As Quarry Manager you will also be responsible for:
Managing, coaching and developing a highly skilled team to ensure business continuity and reduce business risk
Leading change and continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining disciplined stock management processes and producing operational reports
All aspects of budgetary control for all quarrying operations
Proactively managing an effective maintenance scheme for the quarry plant and equipment
Maintaining and implementing Standard Operating Procedures and risk assessments
Managing proactively both mandatory training and developmental training of your staff
Collating and reporting monthly performance KPIs and driving operational performance
The ideal candidate for the role of Quarry Manager will possess indepth experience gained within Quarrying Operationsand a good understanding of Quarry Regulations 1999 (Reg 8.Suitable candidates for the role of Quarry Manager will have:
Full knowledge of Risk Assessments and Safe System of Work Systems
Working knowledge of production processes, Health, Safety and Environmental policies
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint(SAP advantageous)
IOSH/NEBOSH advantageous
Diploma in Quarry Technology/FdSc Extractives Technology advantageous
