Site Utilities Technician

To provide a Computer Aided Design (CAD) service for carrying out functions primarily related to utilities construction street works projects. Further to assist in supporting planning and administrative roles within the PDM business unit.

Responsible for the production of all drawings and diagrams, pre-construction, construction and post-construction, used on any project.

Maintaining the client maintenance contracts database for plant enquiry contracts.

Undertaking site surveys.

Ordering digital Ordnance Survey data from clients and OS Partners.

Assisting the CAD Manager in their day-to-day duties and covering for the CAD Manager during times of absence whether sickness or leave.

Assist in the training of new and inexperienced staff to ensure they are aware of procedures and required standards.

Following the company health, safety and quality practices and procedures.

Any other duties necessary for the successful completion of a project.

Previous experience as a CAD technician undertaking design and detailing s on CAD drawings.

Able to work alone affectively or as part of a team

fully conversant with standard Microsoft software to intermediate level

Ability to prioritize own work and undertake instructions from the PDMl Manager, CAD Manager and operational management team.

The ability to use AutoCAD in order to produce technical drawings.

Must have experience using Autodesk 3D Revit

Minimum C&G Level 2 certificate in 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD)
