Role DescriptionnTo provide a Computer Aided Design (CAD) service for carrying out functions primarily related to utilities construction street works projects. Further to assist in supporting planning and administrative roles within the PDM business unit.

Principle Duties and Accountabilities:

Responsible for the production of all drawings and diagrams, pre-construction, construction and post-construction, used on any project.

Role and Responsibilities:

Ensuring all drawings and diagrams are delivered on time and to the client’s specification.nProduction of Red-line drawings.nProduction of as-laid drawings.nProduction of trial trench / hole drawings.nProduction of traffic management drawings.nProduction of multi-utility diversion works design drawings.nMaintaining the client maintenance contracts database for plant enquiry contracts.nUndertaking site surveys.nOrdering digital Ordnance Survey data from clients and OS Partners.nAssisting the CAD Manager in their day-to-day duties and covering for the CAD Manager during times of absence whether sickness or leave.nAssist in the training of new and inexperienced staff to ensure they are aware of procedures and required standards.nFollowing the company health, safety and quality practices and procedures.nAny other duties necessary for the successful completion of a project.

Skills:

Previous experience as a CAD technician undertaking design and detailing s on CAD drawings.nAble to demonstrate good organizational and time management skillsnAble to work accurately and methodically under pressure and to strict deadlinesnAble to work alone affectively or as part of a teamnPC literate; fully conversant with standard Microsoft software to intermediate levelnAbility to prioritize own work and undertake instructions from the PDMl Manager, CAD Manager and operational management team.nThe ability to use AutoCAD in order to produce technical drawings.nAbility to comprehensively check own worknMust have experience using Autodesk 3D Revit

Qualifications / Competency:

Minimum C&G Level 2 certificate in 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD)
