We have a fantastic opportunity for a Material Co-Ordinator to join our client who are one of the world's most broadly-based healthcare companies based in London, (SE1 9RT) Starting immediately this is an ongoing full time temporary role working Mon-Friday between 8am - 6pm , 40 hours a week, paying £13.46 per hour PAYE.

You will need to demonstrate dynamism and a proactive approach to your worl in order to be successful in this role. As well as an excellent customer-facing attitude, you will need to very organised with great attention to detail and strong communciation skills.

The role will primarily involve:

  • You will be a representative of our client in a day-to-day capacity and will have responsibility for the ordering, receipting, picking and delivery of products to a Central London NHS Hospital.
  • You will be required to work as part of the Supply Chain team to ensure all tasks are completed and targets are met on a daily basis as outlined in the Standard Operation Procedures.
  • You will need to be able to work effectively with both the Client and Trust personnel to resolve issues or requests form the clinical teams.
  • Responsibility for resolution of non-critical issues and the escalation of major issues to line management based upon set criteria.
  • Undertake all training as required
  • Occasional requirement to visit other Sites within the UK

Main Responsibilities - include but are not limited to:

  • Be a member of the Managed Service Company providing services and Innovative solutions to NHS customers within a Central London NHS Trust
  • Order Goods and Supplies as required through the ERP system in a timely manner
  • Receipt goods into the Hospital Warehouse and restock shelving in a timely manner
  • Pick and Pack products as required for delivery to Operating theatres aligned to set timelines
  • Delivery and collection of products/equipment/instruments to Operating Theatres when required
  • Deliver the efficient and effective operation of the Managed Services with a hospital environment and ensure procedures are in place to respond to potential disruptions to the operation of the service.
  • Liaising with Trust Clinical and Theatre personnel to agree resolve supply issues.
  • Producing all system reports and performance monitoring as required by management
  • Undertake all training as outlined in Material Co-ordinator Training Plan.
  • Deliver any Concern and Preventative Action planning as outlined by the processes.
  • Ensure adherence to policies to include patient confidentiality, Data Protection, Freedom of Information or other local or national policies.

Experience:

  • Track record of successfully working within a Warehouse Environment
  • Experience of working within a Managed & Regulated environment
  • Experienced in working to targets and exceeding objectives
  • Experience of Partnership working both externally and internally and able to quickly establish Trust and Credibility.
  • Track record of successfully working in partnership with Health Care Practitioners and challenge existing practices, whilst maintaining and enhancing services and standards.

Knowledge:

  • Extensive experience and understanding of a Hospital Warehouse environment and working practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand processes driven activities and targeted activities
  • Extensive experience of working within NHS or similar sized organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and individually
  • Demonstrates excellent internal and external communicator
  • Excellent social style and behavioural skills and a representative appearance are essential

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Competency working with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels
