Job description
37 hours per week
The Engineering Design Section is based at the main Bridgend County Borough Council Civic Offices in the heart of Bridgend Town Centre. The office benefits from very good transport links. BCBC operates a flexible working model to meet the demands of a modern-day lifestyle; there is a generous holiday entitlement which may be supplemented with the option to purchase additional leave and an above average pension contribution.
All team members are fully supported in their development and undergo a mandatory annual appraisal. Our in-house clients include Regeneration, Waste Management, Education, Property, Network Management and Traffic Management and Transportation. The Engineering Design Section is structured to operate with a trading account and is self-funded through the commissions it receives and projects it delivers.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.
The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
