Interim HR Manager Education Sector Oxford (OX4)

Circa £50,000 equivalent on an hourly/day rate basis

Our client is an education provider who is looking for interim HR support to join them ASAP. This is expected to be a fully on-site role in the Oxford area, so it's important you are local or willing to commute to Oxford. Please note, travel expenses will not be covered as this will be your place of work.

We expect this temporary appointment to last a few months and can consider both full and part-time candidates (0.6 or 0.8 FTE).

We are looking for an HR professional who has previously worked within the Education Sector, with expertise in Safer Recruitment, Pay & Reward in line with National Standards in Education, Safeguarding, and Ofsted standards. This role will also involve the line management of an HR Assistant who will need a point of escalation for complex ER issues and more senior-level HR support.

During this interim period, you will work closely with the leadership team to help keep the HR strategy moving forward, look for opportunities to improve standards, and provide advice at a senior level across a range of topics including Performance, DE&I, Recruitment, Skills Development, and Training.

To be considered, you must have the following:

  1. CIPD Level 5 or 7 (or be able to demonstrate up-to-date working knowledge of ACAS/Employment law standards and guidelines and that you are actively involved in a suitable alternative CPD group)
  2. Eligible to obtain a clear enhanced DBS check and our other vetting checks for Education settings
  3. Strong knowledge and track record of managing complex ER queries, including safeguarding situations
  4. Experience of working at HR Management level, including line management experience of more junior HR team members
