CEMVO Scotland is a national race equality intermediary organization with the aim of building the capacity of theethnic minority voluntary sector and its communities.
We are seeking a person with experience in undertaking ethnic minority community engagement and outreach work torecruit EM volunteers onto a programme of activities which in this case will be volunteer energy advisers whowill be trained by Changeworks to help deliver energy related events to EM groups.
Your role will be to promote the partnership programmme through all mediums, to recruit and support volunteers and toorganize energy efficiency events with EM groups / organisations across Scotland.
Experience in EM community engagement and outreach work.
Experience in organising and delivering events both online and in person, and so knowledge of delivering events on Zoom / Microsoft Teams will also be highly useful.
Experience in delivering promotional activities, including skills and experience in digital marketing through social media, etc.
We are seeking a person with extensive experience and understanding of equality and diversity, especially around raceequality to provide support to environmental sector organisations to help improve their capacity to tackleracial inequality and meet the needs of EM communities.
Thus, you will require experiencein the development of race equality policies and practices that address racial and intersectionalinequalities.
You will also be designing and delivering race equality training to wide audiences so good training skills arerequired, along with the ability to organize and deliver events that share good race equality polies andpractices.
Although you will be part of the environmental team, this project will complement our Race for Human Rights (R4HR)Programme and so you will also be working closely with the R4HR team as there will be areas of work wheresupport or events can be co-delivered, including EM community engagement.

Establish and maintain a network of youth forums in Helensburgh, West Dunbartonshire, and Lomond. A relevant qualification, to a minimum standard of HNC/SVQ 3 (SCQF level 7) in a discipline related to working withchildren and young people, or equivalent work experience.
Ideally, you will have experience working with children in Early Years settings.
You will also need a minimum of two years’ experience working in youth work, community, or education settings, aswell as demonstrate knowledge of co-production, child protection, participatory decision-making, and muchmore.

You will be leading a team to support *deaf people living in the community. As well as leading a team you will belone working in the community, delivering a person-centred service supporting deaf people within their ownliving environment, to enable them to fully participate in the decisions affecting their lives, ensuring thatwherever possible, service users benefit from informed choice, control, and independence. This will include bothactivities at home and within the community which will promote independence and social inclusion.
By working together, you will ensure that a consistent,high quality support service is provided to deaf service users in their own homes, and that staff are supportedto develop and maintain such a service.
Due to the nature of this role, its essential that you can drive and have access to a car.
*deaf: this to includes Deaf Sign Language users, deafened, deafblind and hard of hearing people.
To actively monitor and develop individual and team performance by ensuring effective supervision and PerformanceDevelopment Reviews/Reports (PDRs).
• Be responsible for any risk assessments at the service users home as part of your Health and Safetyresponsibilities.

• The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering our Energy and Efficiency outreach project toGlasgow and West Dunbartonshire and will provide a specialist service to people who often experience complexsocial circumstances, using agreed, person-centred principles for monitoring, auditing and evaluating programmedelivery
Knowledge and understanding ofthe environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private andvoluntary sectors in tackling them.
Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the provision of advice tolow-income households in energy efficiency or related fields.
Excellent networking, recording and information managementskills.
An ability andwillingness to travel extensively within the local community and wider area.
Experience of project-based work in the fields of energy efficiency, community development and regeneration,housing, health, social policy or consumer issues.
