About Our Client

Our client provides unique services to not-for-profit and academic organisations. The organisation has ambitious growth plans over the next 2 years, with the L&D and Culture Partner opportunity playing a pivotal role in this growth.

Job Description

Reporting in to the Head of People, the L&D Partner will take ownership of:

  • Delivering high quality learning and development activities with a supportive and inclusive approach.
  • Developing a forward-looking Leadership & Management Development programme for colleagues across the business, that provides Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities and structured Career Pathways, and which enables effective workforce succession planning.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders nationally and globally (currently UK, US, EU) to achieve excellence, and to instil appropriate good practice as well as consistency of process and procedure.
  • Conducting regular Training Needs Analyses (TNAs) across the business, reporting findings and recommending bespoke solutions.
  • Effectively leading, managing and motivating the Learning & Development, Quality and Academy teams, providing support, guidance and development.
  • Conducting team and individual meetings, one to ones, appraisals/check ins and career reviews.
  • Communicating and collaborating effectively with colleagues across the business and with external L&D partners, clients, agencies and suppliers.
  • Measuring and evaluating the business impact of all L&D interventions and producing informative and concise monthly and annual sub-department/team reports to Senior Leadership.
  • Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Business Partner and the People Business Partner, to ensure a cohesive, seamless People & OD service, under the guidance of the Head of People & OD.
  • Prospecting and delivering new and bespoke L&D solutions, cost effectively and to budget.

The Successful Applicant

A successful L&D Partner should have:

  • Demonstrable experience of developing robust L&D strategies, ideally in a fast-paced customer-centric environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing an operational training team (ideally remote teams).
  • Experience of designing and implementing a broad portfolio of modern, effective and bespoke training courses and blended learning activities, focused on technical, professional and soft skills.
  • An understanding of learning management systems and how they can be used effectively - implementation experience would be desirable but not essential.
  • A confident relationship builder and communicator with ability to adapt style to suit audience.

What's on Offer

  • A salary of up to £45,000.
  • Competitive benefits package.
  • Hybrid working (Mondays and Fridays from home).
  • Opportunity for professional growth.
