The Operational Senior HR Manager will be a key member of a small team, responsible for providing operational HR services across the company. - Proactively support line managers with performance management of their team members, including development or robust performance improvement plans.
- Provide day-to-day HR support and advice to managers and employees on various HR matters such as equal opportunities, diversity, resourcing, recruitment, employee benefits, employee relations, absence management and disciplinary and grievance.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies across the business.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote compliance and best practice.
- Partner with Heads of Departments to confirm staffing needs across the business.
- Build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels to support HR initiatives and improvements.
- Produce accurate reports and analyse people analytics, identify trends to enable the business to make data led decisions.
- Help delivery an accurate and timely submission of all payroll related information.
- Implement and contribute to continual improvement and innovation ensuring the business is recognised for developing and delivering excellent people practices.
- Proven experience as an Operational HR Manager/Business Partner in a multi discipline organisation.
- Effective application of employment policies and procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability of build rapport and influence and negotiate at all levels.
- Credible and comfortable in dealing with diverse stakeholders.
- Be patient, tactful, diplomatic and approachable.
- The ability to work autonomously with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Be a self-starter with experience of developing policies and procedures.
- Excellent understanding of employment law to manage change the ER agenda creatively.
- Experience of managing projects to successful conclusion.
- Highly computer literate.
- Have a current driving licence.
- MCIPD/post graduate human resources qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience in a Engineering/Construction environment.
