About the role: We are looking for a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team on a part-time basis, supporting the academic progress of students in Key Stage 2. You will work alongside the class teacher and SEN coordinator to deliver high-quality support both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring all students can access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Application Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a primary school, ideally with Key Stage 2 pupils.
  • A passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), including a desire to help them thrive academically and socially.
  • Knowledge or experience in delivering booster and intervention sessions is highly desirable.
  • Patience, creativity, and excellent communication skills are essential for working with both children and staff.
  • A proactive, flexible approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to Key Stage 2 pupils, with a focus on booster and intervention sessions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for pupils with SEN.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to assess and monitor pupils’ progress.
  • Support the classroom environment by preparing materials, organising activities, and helping to maintain a positive learning space.
  • Foster a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere, helping pupils to build their confidence and achieve their academic potential.
