About the role:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You’ll work closely with class teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver lessons, providing targeted support to groups of children or individual students. Your responsibilities will also include covering classes when required, leading intervention sessions, and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive academically and socially.

This role is ideal for someone with previous HLTA or extensive TA experience, who is confident in their ability to step up and take on more responsibility within the classroom. You will work across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing a varied and exciting challenge each day.

Application Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.

• Experience working within Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Passion for education and supporting young learners.

• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and needs.

• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.

• Leading small group interventions or 1:1 support for students who need extra help.

• Covering classes in the absence of the teacher.

• Assisting with marking and assessment.

• Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Promoting the social, emotional, and academic development of all students.
