We’re here to change that. You will be playing a key role as we continue to build a bank dedicated to established SMEs, at what is a crucial time for them.

Purpose Of Role

During 2023 Allica established its Cash Management Sales and Central Relationship Management Teams to support accelerating client acquisition outreach following the launch of its Business Reward Accounts and to ensure that all new current account clients had a dedicated Allica Relationship Manager.

With Allica’s ambition to be the most recommended bank for established SME’s and to significantly increase its market share of the UK business banking market in the process, the Business Management Team has will continued to expand in 2024 as we seek to reach more new customers through establishing new sales channels and continue to provide a best in class service to existing customers, growing Allica’s relationship share with them.

This role will work across and closely with the Business Management Teams; Partnership Sales, Cash Management[SH1] , Relationship Managers and New Business Executives. Supporting these teams with targeted sales campaigns, optimising outreach efforts, identifying and unlocking cross sell opportunities and ensuring that robust pipeline management and reporting is in place.

Early focus in the role will be to support the standing up and operationalising of the sales outreach of the Partnerships Sales Team, through the building of pipelines, accountant profiles and categorisation, targeted prospecting lists and ongoing engagement strategies.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Working with the Head of Business Management and Head of Partnerships to create and optimise ongoing targeted sales strategies and initiatives that will support client acquisition and cross sell performance across the accountancy partnerships, Cash Management sales and Central RM Teams.
  • Working closely with the Business Management, Sales and Relationship Manager leaders and Growth Squad to oversee strategic low intent sales initiatives. Taking these initiatives from creation and development to execution and ongoing iteration.
  • Acting as a feedback focal point for both clients and sales/relationship manager colleagues, ensuring that feedback can be captured, learnt from, actioned and shared with product and marketing teams in support of informing feature development and new initiatives.
  • Leading on pipeline creation and reporting, ensuring the teams adopt best practice CRM management. Coaching and supporting the teams to take data driven approaches to their sales prospecting and forecasting.
  • Acting as the conduit between Distribution, Product, Marketing and Data, leading the product marketing and internal communications for BRA features updates across Allica’s Relationship Teams, ensuring that these are trained, embedded and woven into their sales outreach activities.
  • Providing broad commercial manager support to a team of high-performing Sales and Relationship Managers, assisting with opportunity prospecting and customer acquisition tactics.
  • Actively managing your own objectives and personal development plan, supporting the Head of Business Management with the delivery of the team goals and ambitions
  • Working closely and collaboratively with varying teams across Allica Bank to ensure a seamless and professional service is always provided.
  • Being a positive contributor to Allica Banks culture, and always demonstrating our values of Straightforward, Integrity, Collaborative and Delivery.
  • Complying with all mandatory policies and adhering to operational procedures.

Personal Attributes & Experience

  • A deep passion for supporting and helping established SMEs to grow and achieve their ambitions.
  • A self-starter, problem solver and strategic thinker, organised and able to be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • A skilled stakeholder relationship builder, with a history of working across multiple teams and on several initiatives at any given time.
  • You will have strong commercial skills and acumen, with experience in building and delivering on low intent sales strategies.
  • Comfortable with data, with the ability to understand, analyse and make decisions from data sets, reporting and MI.
  • Excellent CRM processes and experience with HubSpot
  • You can demonstrate a strong understanding of SME banking, customer journeys and jobs to be done.
  • The ability to deliver against challenging personal goals whilst also supporting a team to do the same.
