ROLE OVERVIEW // We are recruiting for a Senior Manager to join our Pricing and Analytics team based at the firm’s head office in London. This is a 12-month FTC opportunity.
The Pricing and Analytics team provides analysis, insight and strategic advice with the goal of enhancing both commercial returns and client satisfaction. The new Senior Manager will be leading on pricing-focussed initiatives. They will work closely with Partners and the broader Commercial, Finance and Technology teams.
Business analysis . Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance, e.g. with regards specific clients, sectors or work types.
· Advise on financial/commercial elements of client pitches , e.g. rate modelling, alternative fee arrangements, value-add options, negotiation strategies.
· Govern the annual client rate review process.
· Support the firm’s Fee Committees , i.e. create clear rules, monitor compliance, track commercial impact, provide analytical support, draft update papers for the Board.
Work with the various teams to optimise their use of pricing data, tools and guidance.
· Build a network of internal and external contacts who can help keep the team informed on changes in the legal market. Pricing training . Design and deliver pricing-focussed training sessions for Partners, Associates and the Commercial team.
· Commercial Analysis
· Identify actionable commercial insights to improve returns and then design and drive projects to deliver the intended benefits.
· Commercial awareness . A combination of creative and analytical thinking . Ability to analyse and model financial data and prepare concise reports suitable for a non-financial audience. Ability to influence at the highest level as a credible, quick-thinking, commercial advisor.
· A strong negotiator with good commercial acumen.
Know-how and Training
· Experience of delivering training to Partners and Associates.
Data analysis and visualisation . Must be able to work with large volumes of data and possess advanced proficiency in Excel. Presenting data in a clear, digestible format is key.
· Ability to quickly learn new IT systems .
Project management experience .
