The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland, Clare Region, provide services throughout the county to people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
Our supports stretch to many rural towns and villages, such as Lisdoonvarna, Ennistymon, Miltown Malbay, Kilrush, Kilkee, Ennis, Shannon, Scariff and Killaloe.
We provide the following services in these areas: Day Support, Support to live in the community, Respite Supports for Adults and Children, Advocacy Supports, Homeshare Services, Multi D Supports.

Clare Contract available: Permanent Full Time 78/78 Remuneration: (Basic Instructor Pay Scale): Salary Scale (Pro-rata) €54,157

Engage families and the broader community in a partnership process that will lead to individuals having a good life.
Leading and co-ordinating the planning process around each individual and using the planning tools available to write up an individual plan for each person.
Develop a range of natural and unpaid supports in each persons life, such as family support, volunteers, community networks and roles.
Support people to be known in their community and valued for the contributions they make.
Manage, supervise and carry out appraisals with staff, employees on Government Sponsored Schemes, volunteers and students.
Provide supervision for your staff always ensuring agendas are set and that both you and your staff members are prepared for these meetings.
Prepare for and attend your own supervision meetings with your Manager 13.
Work closely with family members to ensure the best interests of the person with an intellectual disability are paramount.
Work closely with Management in managing current service levels and developing new services and innovative projects.
Develop good working relationship with community and voluntary groups and statutory agencies, to create new opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
Involve the professional support team when necessary in the team meetings and ongoing operation of the service, particularly in the preparation of individual support plans.
Be responsible for identifying and developing housing options for and with people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
To be available to participate in a duty roster where you may be required to cover/work in other areas during Bank Holiday weekends and holiday periods.
Take overall responsibility for the management of housing and transport resources.
Contribute to the local management team meetings in a positive and professional manner.
Be involved in the development of policies.
Understand and operate all relevant local and organisational procedures, directives and general information made available through the line manager.
Prepare an agenda, chair and provide minutes of staff meetings in their area of responsibility and attend and participant in local management meetings as required.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Community manager.
