As the business grows, the need to be certified and accredited in certain regulations is key, such as ISO9001, ISO27001 and PCI-DSS. Therefore, they are looking to hire an exceptional Information Governance & Compliance specialist who can lead the way in the establishment and maintenance of these frameworks and subsequent policies.

The Role:

Working closely with the IT Director, you will take responsibility for their Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) regulatory frameworks, industry standards and internal policies. This will include:

  • Develop and implement ISO governance policies and procedures.
  • Own the compliance audit and risk assessment process.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage technology risks and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of robust Technology security measures.
  • Act as the company’s ISO and Governance SME, delivering compelling training.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of ISO governance and compliance activities. Generate reports for management, highlighting Company compliance status and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement robust incident response plans for ISO governance and compliance breaches.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance of third-party vendors with ISO governance and security standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and external entities, regarding governance and compliance matters.

What we need from you:

  • Good level of experience in a GRC role within a technology company
  • Solid understanding of the relevant laws, regulations and industry standards relating to IT Compliance and Governance, such as: ISO9001, ISO27001, PCI-DSS
  • Proven experience in reviewing, assessing and developing regulatory frameworks and policies
  • Ability to assess and manage 3rd party vendor compliance
  • Good understanding of technology in general, in particular Cloud, Networks and Operating Systems
  • Experience in educating/training the wider business on IT Governance and Compliance
  • Ability to analyse complex IT systems, processes and data to identify areas on non-compliance and develop effective solutions
  • Self motivated, self sufficient and with good attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Enjoys and thrives working in a high performing environment
