**Job Introduction**:
The Information Governance Officer role is an important one and the postholder will work collaboratively with our Data Protection Manager. They will develop effective Information Governance processes to meet statutory and regulatory requirements and assist in the coordination of policy review cycles. The postholder will also contribute to the development of data protection guidance and training workshops.

**Role Responsibility**:

- Ensuring that data and information governance requests are met within legislatively prescribed timescales to ensure that the organisation complies with its statutory responsibilities.
- Acting as the secretariat for the Information Governance committee and ensure the efficient recording, collation, and dissemination of relevant material to promote reasoned and informed decision making.
- Liaising with the Data Protection Manager to develop and deliver training material on Data Protection and Information Governance.
- Assisting the Data Protection Manager in producing mandatory documents (SARs, DPIAs etc.) within prescribed timescale.
- Providing support in the reporting, management, and analysis of data incidents.
- Assisting the Data Protection Manager in the development and management of an Information Asset Register and Record of Processing Activities.
- Monitoring and reviewing the occurrence of Information Governance related incidents in our reporting database (Datix).

We are looking for someone to be a champion for the promotion of robust, ethical, and effective Information Governance processes in the organisation, and you will have experience working with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure their compliance with, and understanding of, data protection requirements.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Information Governance work plan and will support the work of the organisation's Information Governance Committee. Where required, you will provide advice and guidance on Information Governance related matters to colleagues and will have prior experience of delivering training and workshops.

**Salary: UK - £33,497, **London and Surrounding Counties - **£36,444**

**Work from home, with one day bi-weekly travel to London office for meetings**

**Interviews will take place online via video conference - week commencing 4**th** September 2023**
